The techno-savvy director Anil C Menon, who had given an inspiring hit movie 'Ben Johnson' in 2005, now after a break will bounce back witha new flick with the all time action Super Star 'Suresh Gopi'.
Collector is the second film in which Anil C Menon and Suresh Gopi are teaming up together (the first bieng 'Rashtram'). Suresh Gopi plays the role of Kochi District Collector Avinash Varma in this flick. Avinash Varma is bieng called from New Delhi to Kochi, according to an order from the Chief Minister. He takes charge as the Kochi District Collector. Avinash's main assignment is to save the city from the Simhala group who is trying to destroy the city. Simhala group heads have strong base in Kochi. Mayor Sethu Lakshmi is also against the Collector. Avinash's job get tough because of interferences from the Mayor.
Produced by Abdul Azeez & V V Sajan, Collector have a strong star cast. Mohini, lakshmi Sharma & Yamini Varma are the female leads. Songs are written by late Gireesh Puthenchery and Sudhamsu,while Raghu Kumar is the music director. Manoj Paramahamsa & Gunasekharan are the cinematographers. Production works for Collector have been completed and the film will be releasing soon.
